Let's start into a good new permaculture year together

First things first: Happy new Year!

While I'm writing this newsletter issue, it is -25°C outside here in Laitikkala, Finland. The door to our sauna froze for the first time since we started living here. The weather extremes have become more evident and stronger than ever over the past few years, ranging from deep freezing temperatures to extreme warmth in summer. It is more important than ever that we promote permaculture as one of the solutions to combat - and triumph over - climate chaos.

PermaPuheet Volume 4 teachers and lectures

The PermaPuheet/PermaTalks online lecture and talk series, initiated by Dominik Jais in 2020, is excitedly gearing up for its 4th season! Kicking off on January 18th, this season boasts a lineup of nine incredible sessions. The diverse range of topics includes exploring Water across all permaculture zones, the experience of Living in a food forest, utilizing Permaculture tools for shaping inner and invisible landscapes, and the concept of Digital permaculture. This season features renowned educators such as Aranya, Aline VaMo, and Katie Shepherd.

Introduction to Permaculture for Deep Adaptation

Aimee Fenech will be hosting a series about Permaculture for Deep Adaption. The lecture is made of 5 sessions of 2 hours each. The lectures will providing insights into fostering mutual support and collaboration in the process of anticipating, observing, and experiencing societal disruption and collapse. This will include an overview of how the applications of ethics, principles, and design tools in permaculture contribute to this journey on various levels.

The Nordic Permaculture Festival will be held from 01.08. to 04.08. in Himmelbjerggården Denmark this year.

Our self-service permaculture educators directory is slowly filling up! If you are a permaculture teacher in the Nordic or Baltic countries you can join for free. All you have to do is fill in the registration form and wait for the approval mail. Once your account got approved you can fill in your teachers profile and add your place & project as well as your lectures
